Yoga is a mental, physical and spiritual practice. The idea of International Day of Yoga was first proposed by the current Prime Minister of India, Mr. Narendra Modi during his speech at the UNGA, on 27 September 2014.
International Yoga Day is celebrated to raise global awareness about the benefits of the ancient Indian practice.
