So here were the all-time best memes, for you until Winter comes in a matter of a few days!

Almost 8 years ago, the first episode of Game Of Thrones aired. Yes, people, this fantasy show which is adapted from George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire first premiered on April 17, 2011.

The show that gave us memorable characters like Jon Snow, the Stark sisters – Sansa and AryaBran Stark, Daenerys Targaryen, Cersei Lannister, the Lannister brother – Jamie and Tyrion and loads more also made us witness dozens of deaths.

With the finale season not even a week away from airing, we remember the dead of Game Of Thrones –especially those we cried for. Remember we are recalling the death so this is a spoiler alert for those who haven’t seen all the previous seasons.

Take a look at the Game Of Throne deaths that made us cry:

Hodor (Season 6 Episode 5)

https://youtube.com/Poy6h2zJCJ0

Hodor – the simple-minded servant for House Stark died and what happened during the scene will bring tears to your eyes. Born Walder, he is widely known as Hodor as he can only mutter 1 word – Hodor. The revelation as to why he does so is revealed during his death scene.

Ned Stark (Season 1 Episode 9)

How many rooted for Ned Stark after watching the initial episodes of Game Of Thrones? His death was shocking to all cause we all knew how dutiful he was. I bet a handful of you cried for him.

Maester Aemon (Season 5, Episode 7)

https://youtu.be/b2FuZKth-TM

The only death as of now cause due to death and not war or betrayal. Maester Aemon, the blind master of the Night’s Watch was born in the Targaryen family as the brother of the Mad King. It wasn’t as saddening as most of the deaths but we did love the old man. And we wonder what all secrets he knew – including that of Jon Snow’s.

Myrcella Baratheon (Season 5, Episode 10)

https://youtu.be/zolNw2BnhTQ

We know not many root for the Baratheons or Lannisters but her death was really saddening. Myrcella, the only daughter of Cersei and Jammie died in the arm of her biological father while sharing their first father-daughter bond.

Tommen Baratheon (Season 5, Episode 10)

https://youtu.be/QPg3qv_gCyg

While we just spoke about sister, we now talk about her younger brother. King Tommen – the newly appointed King of Westeros committed suicide by jumping from the top of the Red Keep after the explosion at the Sept of Baelor that killed his wife Margaery Tyrell. It was sad to see someone who was manipulated his entire life make his first and last decision by dying.

Khal Drogo (Season 1 Episode 10)

We met him in season 1 and he left us too at the end of the season. Trust me I cried when he died. A mighty warrior who becomes a vegetable after a witch curses him. We will always remember him as the fearless warlord of the Dothraki people.

Catelyn Stark, Robb Stark & Talisa Maegyr (Season 3 Episode 9)

https://youtu.be/ZnxvUuSzbMI

The Red Wedding. These three along with many warriors supporting King Robb, The King In The North died horrible deaths while at a wedding. Catelyn was hit by an arrow and later killed with a knife to her throat. Talisa, Robb’s wife, who was pregnant at the moment was brutally murdered by being stabbed repeatedly in her womb.
Robb was mercilessly shot at with arrows and received the final blow at the hands of his banner-man Roose Bolton. The season got one of its famous dialogues ‘The Lannisters Send Their Regards’ from this death. To make his death even worst they had his head to the body of his direwolf Grey Wind

Oberyn Martell (Season 4 Episode 8)

https://youtu.be/nqT22PlqnUA

This fight is as gruesome as it is shocking. It saw Oberyn Martell fight The Mountain in lieu of proving Tyrion Lannister innocent of Joffrey Baratheon’s murder. The manner in which he died will make you puke.

Shireen Baratheon (Season 5 Episode 9)

https://youtu.be/5rEWHmK2X0A

Shireen Baratheon – a sweet innocent girl who suffered from grey scales in childhood and also suffered an even worst fate in her short life. The princess – at the insistence of the red women Melisandre – was burnt alive. Seeing her begging her parents to let her live is sure to make you shed tears.

Ygritte (Season 4 Episode 9)

https://youtu.be/qDTOc_oUFHU

When this wilding died, many of us felt bad for Jon Snow. Ygritte – a redhead from beyond the Wall died in the arms of her love while at Castle Black. The show motion incorporated in this scene makes it even more emotional. Her last words ‘You know nothing Jon Snow’ is still used till date.

Lady Olenna (Season 7 Episode 3)

https://youtu.be/lcav6vJZbbo

If you live like a b*t*h make sure you die like one too, and that exactly what she did. After being cornered by the Lannisters and made to drink a cup of poison infused wine she made a revelation. She admitted to killing Joffery to his biological father Jamie. The Queen Of Thrones is a badass as she lived by her own rules and died but made others suffer by knowing she didn’t get a worst death.

Honourable mention:
Jon Snow (Season 5 Episode 10)

https://youtu.be/n6DmWeJtKKs

Jon Snow – the bastard of the North who everyone loves – too died in this snow.  His own brothers in black summon him with the news of his missing uncle Benjen but instead ambush and stab him to death. It’s so heartbreaking to see Olly too stab him.

Go and grab some more tissue boxes cause this season is going to make you cry a river!

One of the most loved married couples in Bollywood, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone aka DeepVeer are all set to celebrate their first wedding anniversary. Time flies, doesn’t it? It was only a year back when the two secretly whisked off to Italy and exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony.

As they complete one year of togetherness, Deepika and Ranveer plan to celebrate it in a beautiful and special manner. Just like their wedding, this will be a private affair too. They are expected to fly out of Mumbai today.

On November 14, 2019 they will visit the Tirupati temple and the Padmavathi Temple in Andhra Pradesh to seek the blessings of the Almighty. On November 15, they will head to the Golden Temple in Amristar along with their families.

A spiritual gateway it seems. Deepika and Ranveer got married in a traditional South Indian ceremony as per Konkani rituals on November 14 last year. They also had a North Indian wedding on November 15. Soon after their wedding, the couple shared pictured with their fans. Deepika and Ranveer have managed to steal our hearts with their cute social media PDA. A year after being married, their love for each other only seems to grow day by day.

Check out some of their wedding pictures.

On the work front, the couple will soon be seen sharing screen space in Kabir Khan’s sports drama ’83, in which Ranveer will play the role of Kapil Dev and Deepika will play Kapil Dev’s wife Romi Bhatia.

This is the film time the pair will be seen together on-screen.

Recently, the lead pair of YRF’s first and biggest historical Prithviraj were spotted at Yash Raj Studios. The two performed a puja, with their director Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi, to seek blessings for the film’s shoot that begins soon.

Even Akshay Kumar took to Twitter and shared a video from the puja. Check it out here:

Bollywood is an aspiration for many and this year was a marquee year as many fresh faces proved their talent in acting. From thrillers to love stories, filmmakers explored all kinds of scripts allowing young actors to explore and showcase their talent. Some stood out as they embodied their character par excellence and carved a niche for themselves in tinsel town.

Here are the top eight male debutants that made their mark in 2019:

Siddhant Chaturvedi

One of the most special finds of this year was Siddhant Chaturvedi. Delivering an absolutely memorable performance in Gully Boy, he found instant stardom for his talent. He has also been at the receiving end of fans’ love for his fitness and boy-next-door looks.

Vishal Jethwa

One of the most surprising performances of 2019 was that of Vishal Jethwa in Mardaani 2. The actor, who started out with television, played a psychopath in the film who kidnaps, rapes and murders girls. While critics liked Rani Mukerji’s performance in Mardaani 2, it was Vishal Jethwa’s portrayal of the criminal that made people think.

Abhimanyu Dassani

Bhagyashree’s son Abhimanyu Dassani rather than taking the shorter route chose to audition for his first film. He made his debut with Vasan Bala’s Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota and received critical acclaim for his acting and action scenes. Next, he will be sharing screen space with Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Shirly Setia in Nikamma.

Vardhan Puri

With Amrish Puri as his grandfather, this young lad has acting in every cell of his body. His debut film Yeh Saali Aashiqui allowed him to showcase his talent and what a splendid job he has done!

Zaheer Iqbal

Zaheer made her debut with Nitin Kakkar’s Notebook opposite another newcomer, Pranutan Bahl. He was founded by Salman Khan during a wedding and was found of acting. His performance in the film was lauded by the fans.

Meezaan

Jaaved Jaaferi’s son Meezaan got his big debut under the banner of Sanjay Leela Bhansali Films with Malaal. The actor surprised everyone with his acting talent in the film. Meezaan played the role of a goon who falls in love with a girl who moves into their locality. Meezaan has signed his second film Hungama 2, which is the sequel to Priyadarshan’s 2003 film.

Karan Deol

Sunny Deol launched his son Karan Deol with much pomp and show in Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas. A romantic drama, the film showed Karan as a naive trekker boy who falls for a Dilli ki ladki played by Sahher Bambba. The film started making headlines even before it went on the floors but disappointed many after the release. Sunny Deol returned to the director’s chair for his son’s debut film.

Karan Kapadia

Simple Kapadia’s son Karan Kapadia started with a short film at the age of 15 and was found of acting. He made his Bollywood debut as an actor with the action thriller Blank.

In a world that is filled a lot of fakeness, a few films are made in cinema that deal will social issues. To portray a conscientious character is nothing short of an anomaly. Bollywood actors in 2019 worked hard at pushing boundaries, creating their own definition of what a mainstream Hindi movie star should be like.

Actors Who Essayed Roles In Social Films

Their depictions on screen are a lot more responsible as they consciously gravitate towards stories that leave behind a strong message. Surely it’s still a number game but movies in this day and age are so much more than figures that got cash registers ringing.

Here’s a look at some actors who played such conscientious characters in 2019 Bollywood films:

Richa Chadha

Debating the pitfalls and plusses of the law itself, Section 375 starring Richa Chadha and Akshaye Khanna saw the former in the role of a selfless prosecution lawyer who fights a rape case against a powerful man. Richa extends her public image to the screen as she played the vocal and indomitable Hiral Gandhi who takes on her mentor and the system to get justice for her client.

Ayushmann Khurrana

Ayushmann unarguably has a knack for choosing stories that leave a learning message for people. In 2019 alone, he featured in two wonderful films – Article 15 and Bala. He played a cop in Article 15 where he fought for rights for the Dalit community. In Bala, he promoted the idea of self-love with utmost sincerity.

Shweta Tripathi

Months before Bala was Shweta’s Gone Kesh, a film about female balding. The film about a woman’s beauty and its detrimental factors being discussed in a mainstream film was path-breaking. The challenges of Alopecia and how she eventually triumphs over her own challenges to accept herself with all her heart. She is Hindi cinema’s first bald heroine and with her solid act, Shweta nails it.

Sonam Kapoor

A rare gem from the year, Sonam Kapoor from Ek Ladki Ko dekha toh aisa laga had her play a lesbian character stuck within the warped idea of what the world considers normal. The actress is Bollywood’s first mainstream star to play a lesbian character onscreen.

Rani Mukerji

As a cop Shivani Shivaji Roy, Rani Mukherji returns in her most thrilling avatar. The actress was seen investigating a  rape case in which the accused is a minor. The film tackles the rapid growth of crime rate amongst juveniles and how the law against crime committed by them needs to examine.

Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar

The super grannies of Saand Ki Aankh played by Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar came across with a strong message that there’s no age to learning and achieving. The film also talks about how constricting barriers of patriarchy holds back dynamic women from realising their dreams. The film leaves a strong message on Feminism. It also addresses the warped gender roles followed by society.
