Warts can be really embarrassing and frustrating, especially if yours is on the face; it can really disfigure it and be the ultimate cause of concern and lack of confidence. If you are a victim of common flat warts on your face, hand, foot or any other bodily area, you should probably try these home remedies to get rid of them. But you must be patient when it comes to treating warts, as it could be time consuming to remove it.

Warts can be really frustrating and painful

Here are a few ways that you could try to treat your wart with.

Ice pack:

Heal the wart with an ice pack

Apply an ice pack to your wart for 5 minutes and take a sterilized needle and poke it deep into the wart several times. The needle must penetrate every layer of skin under the wart. By introducing an alien to your body, you will stimulate the antibodies in your system and encourage them to fight the wart off. This method is quite effective if done with utter precaution. You can get rid of multiple warts by poking just one, as it will help your body discover the others too.

Vitamin C or E:

Crush a vitamin C tablet and make a thick paste by adding a little bit of water. Apply it to the wart and cover it with tape or bandage. You can also apply some vitamin E oil on your wart and keep it covered. Do this every day for two weeks and watch your wart disappear.

Hot water and pumice stone:

Scrape the wart away with a pumice stone

If you have a wart on your hands or feet, soak them in hot water with an antiseptic liquid until it softens. Now, scrape the wart away with a piece of exfoliating pumice stone till the whole wart is scrubbed off. Then, take some bleach on a cotton swab and apply it on the area where your wart was. The bleach may sting a bit. But the area must be washed well after bleaching.

Tea tree oil and castor oil:

Dab a little tea tree oil on your wart and cover it with an adhesive bandage. Do this for two or three weeks. Alternatively you can try doing the same with castor oil. The acid in the castor oil irritates the wart and kills it.

Onion-garlic paste:

Garlic paste can effectively remove warts

Make a paste with a few pods of garlic and some onions and apply it to your wart. Then cover it with a piece of cloth. Do this every day for 2 or 3 weeks.

Salicylic acid:

Salicylic acid is the main ingredient used in most over-the-counter wart remover products. However, its effectiveness varies and it can take days or weeks for it to work. Soak the skin in warm water for some time, apply the salicylic acid on the wart and let it dry. Leave it on for a day. Peel off the acid along with the dead skin the following day.

If nothing works, take expert help. Don’t keep tugging at the wart all on your own. If you experience any kind of discomfort during these treatments, I would advise you to visit a doctor straight away.

We always get our pets vaccinated, thinking we may catch something off of them. But have you ever thought what if your dog could catch some disease because of you? Yes, unknowingly you could spread these 5 diseases to your best friend. Think about it, who is the first to comfort you when you’re sick and blue? Cuddles and kisses are lovable but it should be highly avoided during sickness.

1)    Ring Worm

This common fungal infection is the easiest to spread as it spreads through direct skin contact, and we all know how cuddly dogs can get. The fungus appears as a raised, red circular rash on the skin that’s sometimes flaky and itchy. Dogs can’t resist a good scratch, so you’ll need to treat the infection with anti-fungal medications.

2)    Flu

If you’re down for the count with a flu bug, your dog could come down with it, too. The symptoms will be similar; you’ll both feel achy and have respiratory issues such as coughing and sneezing, but there’s no special treatment your pup will need. Like humans with the flu, your pet will have to ride it out.

3)    Giardia

Giardia is an intestinal parasite that comes from drinking contaminated water, usually improperly treated or untreated water from a stream or lake. Stomach upset and diarrhea are the main symptoms. Dogs love to lick, so be prompt about washing your hands post using the toilet, also if you have a pup who likes to drink out of the toilet, that can be major trouble.

4)    Lung Cancer

Are you a smoker? Second hand smoke can be bad for both humans and DOGS. Dogs (and other pets) are actually more sensitive to the pollutants in second-hand smoke than humans, leaving them at risk for a variety of health issues and diseases such as weight gain and cancer. For the sake of your pet’s health and well yours too, QUIT SMOKING!

5)    Mumps

Mumps is a contagious disease caused by a virus that passes from one person to another through saliva, nasal secretions, and close personal contact. Your dog can catch the mumps from you or your children, and he’ll feel lousy, with general discomfort, possibly a fever, and swelling of the salivary glands.

So, make sure of keeping a check on your pet’s health from time to time 🙂
