Kangana Ranaut has stole our hearts with her unique acting skills in films like Queen, Gangster, Tanu Weds Manu, Fashion and many more. Be it a small town girl, a drunken lover, a brat or the Queen of Jhansi, this girl can pull it off with ease.
Today, on this special day we bring you some amazing performances that Kangana nailed and we absolutely love:
Gangster (2006)
Kangana made her Bollywood debut in this 2006 crime romance co-starring Emraan Hashmi and Shiney Ahuja. She aced her act as a disturbed alcoholic caught in the web of deceit and lie while on the run from the law. From her very first movie, this talented debutant proved that she was out to rule to the film industry.
Fashion (2008)
Kangana won the Best Supporting Actress at the 56th National Film Awards for her role as supermodel Shonali Gujral. The journey of Shonali from a successful model, to a drug addict and then her phase into cleaning herself really touched us all. She sure did deserve all the praise that she received for it.
Tanu Weds Manu (2011)
As Tanu, Kangana beautifully played the young girl who wants to marry the (apparent) guy she loves and not her parents’ choice. The complications when she falls for another is a highlight of how good an actor she is. Who didn’t love her performance!
Queen (2014)
This comedy-drama gave Kangana the title that she deserves – Queen. She beautifully played the under confident girl who embarks on a solo honeymoon trip after being ditched by her fiancé at the alter. The way she portrayed the development of this shy girl into a confident young woman who takes charge of her life is worth praising.
Is there anyone out there who thinks anyone else could have played this queen?
Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015)
In the sequel to Tanu Weds Manu, Kangana played a double role. Both characters – Tanu and Kusum – were vastly different in appearance and personality. And she nailed them both! And she very well deserved the National Award she won.
Judgementall Hai Kya (2019)
Kangana played the role of Bobby – a strange wealthy young woman who works as a dubbing artist, in Judgementall Hai Kya. From hallucinating to being in a mental asylum, Kangana got the the nuances of the character on point.
Panga (2020)
In this sports drama, Kangana played a kabaddi player who after marriage and a kid decides to make a comeback to the world of sports. Her sheer dedication towards the sports is evident of her love towards her profession.
We don’t think anyone else could do these roles much better than the Queen herself. Do you agree with us? Tell us which is your favourite Kangana Ranaut movie in the Comments below.
